Two ways to go
After enrolling in Original Medicare and determining your eligibility for Part A and Part B, you can go one of two ways. With Original Medicare 80% of your medical expenses are provided by the government, while you will be responsible for the remaining 20%. These additional plans will help cover the 20% you're responsible for. Below we've broken down the basics to help you choose between Medicare Supplement Plans and Medicare Advantage Plans. Please feel free to give us a call and speak with one of our licensed agents to discuss your options.
MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT PLANS
Supplement Plans help cover some of the expenses Original Medicare doesn't, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. However, when selecting this plan you must also purchase a Prescription Drug Plan. If you choose to go in this direction, one of our agents will guide you in selecting the best drug plan for you.
